Über mich – Verena Vesta
Ich bin Verena Vesta, autodidaktische Künstlerin mit Lebensmittelpunkt Graz und einem wachsenden Netzwerk zwischen Europa und Lateinamerika. Meine Werke entstehen im Spannungsfeld von Rückzug, Widerstand und künstlerischer Notwendigkeit. Seit mehreren Jahren arbeite ich mit reduzierter Farbpalette – überwiegend Öl auf Leinwand und Zeichnung auf Papier – mit fokussierter Figuration und hoher emotionaler Dichte. Themen: Transformation, Verwundbarkeit, innere Klarheit – oft im Kontrast zur äußeren Welt.
Nach intensiven Phasen in Spanien, Portugal und der Schweiz sowie mehreren Exilaufenthalten in europäischen Städten kehre ich immer wieder zum Ursprungsort meiner Arbeit zurück: dem Atelier als Schutzraum. Ich verkaufe direkt, arbeite unabhängig und bin offen für Projektanfragen, Residenzen und Ausstellungsmöglichkeiten.

About me
Verena Vesta is a self-taught artist based in Graz, working between Europe and Latin America. Her practice grows from a space of retreat, resistance and creative necessity. With a reduced palette – mainly oil on canvas and drawing on paper – she creates figurative works with emotional intensity exploring transformation, vulnerability and inner clarity, often contrasted with the outer world.
After extended periods in Spain, Portugal and Switzerland, and multiple exile stays across European cities, she repeatedly returns to the origin of her work: the studio as sanctuary. She sells directly, works independently, and is open to project invitations, residencies and exhibitions.
