Today is the fourth day in my new travel chapter. I call it THC: ‚The heat corridor‘. For the next weeks my life will be on the road, interrupted by stations like Flores. The end of this chapter will be Medellin, Colombia. The fith chapter probably leads me to my first painting that I sold for 1000 Euros. It shows the mountain ridge in Patagonia with the famous and beautiful obelisque: ‚Fitz Roy‘.
While I am writing this, the two girls on the other table screamed because a Cucaracha appeared to scare them off. I am now also concerned, but keep on writing. Before me there are many plants, I think they hide in the earth, and precipitate from time to time on to the guests. Well, I really like that hostel: ‚Los Amigos‘.
After 6 months living in the ‚Ermita‘ in Mérida, I am overwhelmed seeing so many internationals young backpackers and party folks. Feels a bit like my second exile. In Amsterdam it had a similiar vibe altough it was freezing cold in January 2025. Now I sit on a little island in the lake ‚Petén Itzá‘. Yesterday me and Jordan went for a ride in a Kayak.
We had everything, music, beer, weed. The heat was still heavy at 3:30pm. After a 45 minutes paddeling with some breaks for a cigarette or a joint we reached a little beach which was situated behind a sandbank. I jumped into the water, it was warm like a bathtub. Outside tempreatures around 38degrees, and the water 10degress less. However, my body turned around upside down, diving changing the orientation releasing the pain from the bordercrossing.
More on this you will find on my Patreon site. Maybe you consider supporting the artist. Lowest level is 5 Euros. You get deep insights, in my practice and survival tricks as a painter with a cause but still without the market. My winter exile now turned into a world tour. With luck I will be the first autodidactic transgender female painter that travelled around the world alone setting a complete autonomous supportsystem up.

That’s it for tonight. There is a Karaoke party going on now. They just turned off the random music. There are so many people now here, and I don’t know where they all went. I haven’t explored the whole building, there are upper levels, and there must be a bigger disco-room, because I hear the beats of another PA. The dead cucaracha still lies there on its back.
Ok people sit next to me. I think my writing time has really come to its end. I will enter my bed and sleep. Or maybe something else will occur.
