2. Reward Tiers & Avatars

Supporters can contribute via BMAC / other payment systems and receive personalized digital avatars displayed next to the event they support.

Stories on the map follow a three-stage arc:

  1. Disorientation / Body – raw, minimal text + image, no explanation.
  2. Threshold / Event – compressed moment, factual, suspenseful.
  3. Form / Aftermath – optional full reveal for higher-tier supporters (Silver/Gold).

4. Interactivity & Exploration

  • Each marker acts as a mini-hub.
  • Users can see other avatars that have supported the event.
  • Tags allow filtering by content type / emotional impact / story category.
  • Encourages exploration of the map as interactive diary / collective story archive.

  • Internal link: extended content / internal story hub → controlled layout.
  • External link (Patreon): unlock full story, higher-tier avatars, exclusive content.

  • Dropdown / tag filter (e.g., #accidents, #horror, #passingbody) for targeted exploration.
  • Optional avatar collections on Patreon; supporting all “Small Stories” unlocks special avatars.
